Armenian grandmasters Shant Sargsyan and Hayk Martirosyan took 2nd and 3rd places, respectively, at the Al-Beruniy International Regional Chess Tournament held in Uzbekistan.

This was reported by the Chess Federation of Armenia.

Shant and Hayk, not suffering a single defeat during the tournament, earned 6 points out of 9 possible.

The winner of the tournament was Uzbek grandmaster Mukhidin Madaminov, who earned 6.5 points.
