The 48th-ranked Armenian tennis player Elina Avanesyan has finished her performance at the WTA-1000 tournament in Doha (Qatar).

She lost to Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina in the second round (6:2, 6:3).

The match lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes.

In the next round, Daria Kasatkina will face the 5th-ranked American Jessica Pegula, who defeated Ukrainian Elina Svitolina in the second round 6:3, 7:6 (7:3).
