14-year-old Russian chess player David Akhmedov won the 16th world champion, leading world classification, Norwegian Magnus Carlsen in the online tournament of lightning chess.

In the second round of "Titles on Tuesday" tournament, Akhmedov defeated Carlsen with white figures. David Akhmedov's rating is 2368, Magnus Carlsenin is 2831.

Magnus Carlsen was a classic world champion in 2013-2023. He later refused to defend the title. The current world champion is an Indian Domarraju Gocesh.
