Journalist Arman Galoyan wrote on his Facebook page.
"Discussions of the draft law on the initiation of the EU accession process of RA in the National Assembly committee only strengthened the belief that this topic, which has been drummed up for months, is just noise about nothing.
About absolutely nothing. This project, in its essence, is simply a declaration of wishes and wishes.
And nothing more. Artak Zeynalyan himself, the representative of the initiative, emphasized several times during the discussions that this is only about the wishes to start the process.
Pay attention to wishes, the ways of which are, however, unclear. On the one hand, Armenia is a member of the EAEU, therefore, becoming a member of the EU contradicts it.
But even if someone's imagination is enough to claim that we should quickly leave the EAEU and enter the EU, then the question is: is the EU ready to accept Armenia? Of course not. No matter how it seems like a paradise valley.....where, it turns out, no one is waiting for you. Absolutely no one.
Therefore, let's record once again that this project has nothing to do with reality. It has nothing to do with the real problems of Armenia either. And why is it being done... for a simple, very simple reason: for propaganda noise.
This is not even blackmail aimed at the Russian Federation, because it is such an unrealizable and dead-end initiative that... And the only purpose of the noise is to divert the public's attention, to generate false expectations.
But also, on the eve of the upcoming NA elections, by manipulating the topic, he presented only a political bid, an intention to form a new political pole.
Moreover, it is obvious that the government is interested in this process in order to contribute to the formation of this "new pole" and make it a suitable opposition or maybe a coalition partner.
