The RA National Assembly with 65 "for", 31 "against" and 1 "abstention" votes adopted the bill "On Amendments and Amendments to the RA Law on the Basics of Cultural Legislation", according to which the Armenian Opera and Ballet Theater, gallery, library and other cultural structures the word "national" will be removed from the names.
According to the draft, from now on the names of structures that have made a great contribution to the development of national culture will have the word "national".
Let's remind that on September 3, 2024, the RA government proposed to replace the word "national" with "state" in the name of various cultural institutions.
