I accepted this news with displeasure. this is probably a detention syndrome. Nikol Pashinyan published another part of his "Prison Diary".

Nikol Pashinyan published another excerpt from his "Prison Diary": "Prison Diary". etap26 January, 2010, "Nubarashen" Prison I don't even remember where I left off "Prison Diary" and how many chapters were published.

However, the decision made by someone, somewhere to transfer me from "Yerevan-Kentron" prison to "Nubarashen" prison, made me remember that I have unfinished business, which has not yet been completed.

On January 21, around 3:00 p.m., the door of our cell number 20 of the "Yerevan-Kentron" penitentiary suddenly opened (the cell door doesn't open often - it needs a serious reason), and I gave up on it. Two days ago, judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan sentenced me to seven years in prison.

At the same time, they informed me that I have to collect my things because I am moving to another prison. It's probably a detention syndrome, when you're in a cell, said environment, it's always unpleasant. the process of transferring from one institution to another.

It turned out, however, that this problem is not settled at all, and while I was thinking about how I can achieve the reversal of the decision to transfer me to another prison, the adventure played in me. As it often happens after March 1, 2008, when faced with the need for transfers. , I remembered Homer's "Odyssey" again.

I also remembered an American director Jim Jarmusch's TV interview, where he said that in his opinion, the journey is the most vivid allegory depicting life. The allegory is much more vivid when the journey is called a "stage". They came out to see me off. A military-colored "UAZ" car was waiting for me. Behind it was a civilian car with several This is the first time I have seen such a car during detention. This is the minimum size for a person to be seated. I had to sit in this compartment, that is, during the transfer. There is no window on the door of the compartment, there is no light in the compartment.

That is, when I got into the cell and the door closed, I was in complete darkness, essentially pinned to the walls of that cell.

A faint light came in only through a narrow vent in the roof, which was half-closed. When I saw that cabin and realized that I was going to travel in it, I broke out in a cold sweat. It's funny. And when the staff of the prison administration slammed the door, I happily recorded myself smiling in the dark. After a while, "UAZ" stopped and some conversations were heard.

I realized that we had reached the "Nubarashen" prison. The doors opened, we entered, and after a while the door opened and I found myself in front of an entrance that looked more like a barn entrance. rather than any populated area.

It was the entrance to the reception of the "Nubarashen" Penitentiary, through which detainees, lawyers, policemen, penitentiary officers, observers and others enter and leave every day.

And indeed, this floor section of "Nubarashen" prison, the reception area, resembles a real barn. After filling out some papers, I was escorted to a "box". this is the name given to the temporary cells where the detainees are searched when entering or leaving the detention center. In one of these "boxes" there is a long table on which some kind of cover is thrown. The examination can confirm that this cover has not been changed From May 1979. hard to tell what factory color it was.

Now it is a black color that can only be obtained in "Nubarashen" prison.

So, I was offered to empty my things on that blanket so that they could be searched. According to the prison officer's logic, I should have put my clothes and other things on that blanket so that he could check if there was anything hidden in them I hinted to the supervisor that the cover was dirty, to put it mildly. He assured me that it was not dirty, just worn.

I rubbed my finger on the blanket, and it got stuck in the dirt. The guard looked at me with a desperate look, and I took out that day's "Armenian Time" from my bag, spread it on the blanket, and emptied my things. After the search, I was transferred to another "box" where I had to wait while I will be transferred to the appropriate cell. It is true that prisoners do not spend long time in "boxes", but in certain cases they can stay up to an hour. To get an idea of this "box" of the "Nubarashen" prison, imagine a Soviet collective farm where pest control was not carried out, the potato seed smelled, the roof leaked. In addition, the area served as a toilet ("box". , by the way, there is no toilet.) There is a window in this area with damp walls, which is narrow even for light to enter.

There is a long bench along the wall that is impossible to sit on due to decades of dirt. The most interesting part of this area is the door, which has various notes on it. I decided to spend my time reading these notes : Under it was the response of the supervisors to the writer in the form of "khleshchi kfur".

On another part of the door I saw some numbers "10:22" and "27:11" written in front of them, probably names that I couldn't read because of the darkness and wear At first I thought that the author of the first post spent 10 months and 22 days in prison, and the second one spent 27 months and 11 days the two dots in between suggested that my hypothesis was wrong.

Accordingly, my interest grew, and I began to make persistent efforts to read what was written before the numbers. it was written "Matevos".

I thought it was the author's name. I was shocked when I read "Proverbs" in front of the post below. who would have thought that on the door of the "box" of the "Nubarashen" prison, where many profanities are written, one can find references to the relevant verses of the Bible. Naturally, the Bible was with me, and I immediately took it and opened Proverbs 27:11. "Be wise, my son, that your heart may be glad; turn away from you words of reproach," it read.

Then I opened Matthew 10:22. "And for my name's sake you will be hated by everyone, but whoever endures to the end will be saved."

This is how my detention in "Nubarashen" penitentiary began."
