Today, January 18, a mysterious incident happened in Yerevan. Around 5:00 p.m., the Shengavit department of the Main Department of the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information that there was a body in Yerevan Lake.
As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene, the operative group of the Shengavit department, led by the head of the department Artur Mkrtchyan, arrived.
The 4th group of the 3rd Yerevan fire rescue squad of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs rescue service, 1 combat unit, headed by the ring commander Gagik Pakhuryan, also arrived with the alarm.
The operative group of the National Crisis Management Center of the rescue service also arrived.
Firefighters rescued the man's body from the lake using a special rope.
As a result of the incident, criminal proceedings were initiated in the investigation department of Shengavit.
By the decision of the investigator, a forensic medical examination of the corpse was appointed.
At the moment, the police and the patrol service are finding out the identity of the deceased.
