The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is investigating the attack by a group of unknown persons on a Russian couple in the village of Nakra.
The department informed journalists that "the investigation is being conducted under Articles 179 and 236 of the Criminal Code", reportsVesti.
Earlier, the InterPressNews agency reported that a group of unknown persons attacked a married couple from Russia in the village of Nakra, Samegrelo-Svaneti region.
The couple was driving along a popular tourist route.
The attackers blocked the road and took the man to an unknown direction. The police managed to find out the location of the woman, her husband is considered missing.
