On January 6 of this year, at 17:28 local time (at 13:28 GMT), the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia registered Armenia with geographical coordinates of 39.96⁰ north latitude and 45.49⁰ east longitude. 22 km northwest of Jermuk city, 10 km deep in the hearth, 3.1 magnitude earthquake.
The strength of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was 4 points.
The earthquake was felt in Vayots Dzor marz with a magnitude of 2-4, as well as in the cities of Vardenis in Gegharkunik marz and Sisian in Syunik marz with a magnitude of 2-3.
