To be honest, being familiar with the values and past behavior of these authorities, I was not particularly surprised that "Public Television" planned to broadcast the New Year message of the Catholicos of All Armenians on December 31 at 21:55.
It is sad, but not unexpected. Their antagonism towards national institutions and identity values is not new, nor are anti-state and anti-national agendas new.
This is also a manifestation of personal revenge and political persecution, next to the reputation of the Prime Minister who has no red lines and his team, they are taking it hard that the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church continues to be the national institution with the greatest public authority.
They hardly have a perception problem, they are fulfilling their commitment. I don't think that they are so short-sighted that they do not understand that with this behavior they are disrespecting the cherished expectations and desires of thousands of Armenian Christians, the exceptional role of the Armenian Apostolic Church and decades of traditions. It is obvious to me that "Public" is carrying out an assignment.
His Holiness Father's New Year's message will reach the faithful Armenian people through other means of communication.
These times of shame, moral decline and defeat will pass.
Over the centuries, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church has been subjected to many persecutions, faced schisms, but has remained standing, serving the Armenian people, unwaveringly.
