From January 1, 2025, new dietary standards will apply in kindergartens. RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan announced this at the joint session of the NA standing committees' preliminary discussion of the draft law on the state budget for 2025, in response to the question of Sona Ghazaryan, deputy of the "Civil Agreement" faction.
"This year, we made a change in the standards of the kindergartens' diets. These new standards will come into effect on January 1, 2025.
We revised the diet, food containing a large amount of sugar was removed, the types of juices, the higher amounts of sugar content were changed.
A change has also been made in bread products, the advantage will be given to bakery products made from whole grain wheat. We are already setting certain mandatory standards, at least for the food served in kindergartens," said Avanesyan.
