Emergency in Tavush region

Today, December 22, an emergency happened in Tavush marz. At around 14:55, the 911 crisis management center of the Rescue Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs received an alert that a car was burning in the bends of the Kirants-Voskepar highway in the Voskepar settlement.

As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports, before the Noyemberyan fire-rescue squad arrived at the scene, the driver and citizens fought against the fire in the "Ford Fusion" car, then the firefighters extinguished it.

The car turned into a pile of ashes.

The patrols of the Tavush marz battalion of the Police Patrol Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by the battalion commander Armen Bezhanyan, arrived promptly.

According to preliminary information, fortunately there were no casualties.

C. According to Shamshyan, the car belongs to 44-year-old Yerevan resident Alexander Tateosyan, who is a former football player of the Armenian football team and Pyunik. He was leaving Armenia for Georgia.

The operative group of the Noyemberyan Police Department of the Main Department of the Community Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, led by the duty officer in charge of the day, also arrived at the scene.

Documents are being drawn up at the Noyemberyan Police Department regarding the incident.
