The transport tariff in the capital will remain the same until February 1

Yerevan Mayor's Press Secretary Hayk Kostanyan informed.

"As you know, from January 1 we will completely switch to the unified ticket system of public transport.

We would like to inform you that a new project will be proposed at the regular session of the Yerevan Council of Elders on December 24, which will maintain the 100 dram price for one trip until February 1, 2025, along with the new packages, exclusively electronically, with Tellcell Wallet, with payment terminals. with paper QR tickets, as well as bank cards.

Until February 1, 2025, the ticket price of 50 drams will continue to apply when using trolleybuses.

When using the metro, until February 1, 2025, the ticket price of 100 drams will continue to apply.

At the same time, let's note that the coin-accepting devices will be closed from January 1, that is, the payment option with a 100 dram coin ends and a transition is made to full electronic payment.

This decision is due to the process of organizing the transition period of the unified ticket system as easy as possible for citizens.

Many of you are asking, when and how should we be able to use this system?

From January, it will be possible to purchase transport cards, which will allow you to top up your preferred ticket packages.

A new website will be launched, allowing you to quickly and hassle-free purchase of ticket packages online with your preferred option.

The website will also provide an opportunity to purchase the packages intended for privileged groups, as well as get to know the groups of persons with the right to travel for free.

Let's also add that the public will soon be informed about all this with informative and social clips."
