The government has adopted a decision, the purpose of which is to participate in the combat operations of the defense of the Republic of Armenia or to be on combat duty in the line of contact with the enemy or during the performance of a special task or service duties, or to be killed (died) as a result of the pre-offensive action of the enemy, or to participate in the combat operations of the defense of the Republic of Armenia or to be on combat duty in the line of contact with the enemy or assistive reproductive technologies in order to support the reproductive health of the parents of every serviceman declared missing or deceased by judicial order as a result of going missing while performing a special task or service duties application is to ensure the possibility of reimbursing the costs of using the surrogate mother's services a second time.
According to the decision, it is proposed to compensate the beneficiary parents for the costs of using the services of a surrogate mother twice (for each fallen serviceman).
According to the justification, in order to provide compensation for the costs of using the surrogate mother's services starting from the start of the program (from May 2022), the Ministry of Health presented information on about 60 beneficiary parents, of which compensation was given (fully or partially) to 27 beneficiaries (about 45%) during the specified period. It is planned that in 2025 the number of beneficiaries applying to use surrogate mother's services for the second time will not exceed 2-3, which will require 11-16.5 million drams.
