Great Britain suspends all aid programs to Georgia

In response to the Georgian government's actions to suppress the protests, Great Britain is temporarily suspending all assistance programs to Georgia and limiting cooperation with the Georgian authorities, including in the military sphere. As reported by TASS, this was stated in the statement of British Foreign Minister David Lammy.

"The shocking footage of violence against protesters and journalists by the Georgian authorities is unacceptable and must be stopped. These actions undermine Georgia's international reputation and contradict Georgia's constitutional commitment to the European future.

"In light of current events, Great Britain will immediately suspend all support programs to the Georgian government, limit defense cooperation and interaction with representatives of the Georgian Dream government, until the departure from European democratic norms and freedoms is stopped," the statement said.
