Lebanon must elect a president and implement reforms to recover from the consequences of the Middle East conflict, which are estimated at $10 billion. This was announced by the Minister of Environment of the Republic Nasser Yasi.
The highest government position in Lebanon remains vacant from October 31, 2022. This happened after General Michel Aoun left the presidential palace at the end of his six-year term.
"We need to elect a president, we hope to form a new government at the beginning of next year. All this is necessary to carry out reforms," he told the Emirati newspaper The National half a million Lebanese are in need of asylum or other assistance.
