"It is still too early to talk about the negotiations on Syria in Astana, we are monitoring the situation," he said.
Negotiations on a settlement in Syria, known as the Astana format, or the Astana process, have been ongoing since the 22nd round of negotiations in Astana in November 2017.
The meeting, attended by representatives of Russia, Iran, Turkey, as well as the Syrian Foreign Ministry and the Syrian opposition, discussed the efforts to settle the situation in Syria, the release of hostages and the search for missing persons, as well as discussed the humanitarian situation in the country and the mobilization of the efforts of the international community to contribute to its post-conflict reconstruction.
On December 7, a meeting was also held at the level of foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey at the forum in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
