Supporters of the Georgian opposition gathered for the 11th time near the parliament in the center of Tbilisi and blocked Rustaveli Avenue. The correspondent of "RIA Novosti" informed about the events in Tbilisi.
They were not even deterred by the fact that on Sunday afternoon the Tbilisi Municipality installed a Christmas tree near the Parliament, which was supposed to be guarded by the police.
Currently, about a thousand people are participating in the event.
Another series of opposition protests in Georgia began on November 28 after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced the decision to stop the discussion of the start of negotiations on the country's membership in the European Union until 2028. Demonstrators used firecrackers, stones, bottles, it was reported that Molotov cocktails were found at the place of riots. Security forces responded using special equipment, including water cannons.
