The European Union is trying to achieve the development of sanctions mitigation mechanisms by the USA against "Gazprombank", which is the key financial structure for ensuring the supply of Russian natural gas to Europe. This is reported by the Bloomberg agency.

According to him, the EU and the US are discussing possible options.European governments and companies warn that the sanctions threaten the region's energy security.

The agency says Gazprombank remains the only bank authorized to make payments for Russian gas.Some countries, such as Hungary, have already applied for sanctions relief to maintain supplies
