Azerbaijan and Armenia have made significant progress in the peace treaty negotiations, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeihun Bayramov announced in Malaya, according to Azerbaijani media.
"After the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, actual peace was established, which opened new opportunities for the regulation of relations between Baku and Yerevan," he noted.
According to Bayramov, as a result of direct dialogue, Azerbaijan and Armenia completed the demarcation and demarcation of a part of their borders. In addition, progress was made in drafting the text of the bilateral agreement.
"The regulation on the joint activity of relevant border commissions that came into force recently will ensure the implementation of the next stages of border demarcation works. These achievements show that direct bilateral negotiations are the best way to advance the settlement process," Bayramov said.
