Substantial steps have been taken towards the new concept of the constitution, but the process has slowed down for some reason.
Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan announced this during a briefing with journalists. She expressed hope that they will be able to give new momentum to these reforms in the near future.
"We will not violate the requirement of the recommendation, and we will have a new Constitution within the specified period.
Our goal is to have a new draft of the Constitution, and we have to move forward in that direction, and there is still no clarity regarding the mechanism in which direction the work should be carried out.
In terms of the concept, at the moment we have an internal discussion in the ministry, and after finishing them, we will also hear the opinion of representatives of the civil society on the issue, then we will start to implement the work of developing the new project faster," he said.
