After yesterday's session of the Communist Party Committee chaired by the Chairman of the Committee Pashinyan, it was announced that Hovik Aghazaryan is being removed from the party. The reason for Aghazaryan's dismissal is "leaking confidential information of state and party significance, as well as gross violations of public moral norms."
Hours after this announcement, Hovik Aghazaryan announced from the NA podium that he is leaving the "Civil Agreement" faction, but he is not resigning the mandate of the deputy.
These incidents started when Hovik Aghazaryan announced, two days ago, that he rejects Pashinyan's "request" and will not give up his parliamentary mandate. Taking into account that there is a criminal proceeding against Aghazaryan in the Anti-Corruption Committee, it is not excluded that the prosecutor will grant him immunity. We made a request to the Prosecutor's Office to enter the National Assembly with a motion to deprive him.
"Hraparak" was informed that the issue of depriving Aghazaryan of his immunity is not currently being discussed.
