The session of the People's (Lower) House of the Indian Parliament was suspended after the speeches of the opposition MPs, who demanded to discuss the charges against a group of companies of the billionaire Gautam Adan in the USA and other issues not included in the agenda. This is following a live broadcast from the legislative building.

Amid shouts from parliamentarians that disrupted the normal functioning of the legislature, Speaker of the House Om Birla tried to appeal to opposition MPs to calm down, but to no avail, adjourned till noon.
