The Lebanon agreement must stop the genocide of Palestinians. Foreign Ministry of Tunisia

Tunisia considers it necessary that the cease-fire agreement entered into force on November 27 in Lebanon will pave the way for the end of the war that is destroying the Palestinian people. This is stated in the statement published on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.

"Tunisia emphasizes the need for this agreement to pave the way for an end to the bloodshed in the war that exterminates the Palestinian people in occupied Palestine and calls on the international community to assume political, legal and moral responsibility and put an end to the ongoing lawlessness and brutal crimes of the occupier," the text said.

The Foreign Ministry also expressed hope that the agreement signed between Israel and Hezbollah will be a step towards "the final and comprehensive end of the war and will ensure the safe return of the residents of South Lebanon to their homes."

The statement emphasized that Tunisia "firmly and unconditionally supports the Palestinian people in the restoration of their legitimate, inalienable rights, which do not have a statute of limitations, and the main one is their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign state in the entire territory of Palestine, with its capital in East Jerusalem."

On November 27, the first ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon entered into force.
