Russia offers to exchange 630 prisoners of war with Ukraine

Russia is ready to exchange 630 prisoners of war with Ukraine "right now". Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced this on Wednesday.

"We are now ready to carry out an exchange of 630 military personnel, and at the same time start organizational measures for the preparation of further exchanges," Zakharova noted.

He noted that Moscow is ready to hand over 630 Ukrainian prisoners to Kyiv "immediately", "on parity terms".

At the same time, according to Zakharova, Moscow "leaves it to Ukraine to decide which Russian military personnel to include in the exchange." In turn, Ukraine makes the return of 350 specific Ukrainian prisoners of war, who are "allegedly located" in Russia, a precondition for the resumption of exchanges, he claimed.
