Poland called on NATO not to send its troops to Ukraine

NATO countries, including Poland, should not send their troops to Ukraine at the current stage of the Ukrainian-Russian confrontation, it would be a wrong move, said Jacek Severa, head of the Polish National Security Bureau (BNB), on Radio Zet.

"At this stage, I would say that it will not be the right decision," he answered the relevant question of the radio station reporter. In his opinion, the alliance should adhere to the philosophy of the defense alliance. In addition, Severa believes that sending military personnel to Ukraine will have a negative impact on Poland's image, as "it may be perceived as an attempt to negotiate with the Russian Federation on the partition of Ukraine."

At the same time, the head of the Polish BNB believes that NATO should focus on continuing the supply of weapons to Kiev and putting pressure on the Russian Federation.
