Beijing is concerned about the nuclear risks associated with the Ukrainian conflict

China is concerned about the nuclear risks associated with the Ukrainian conflict and reiterates the inadmissibility of using nuclear weapons. This was stated by Mao Ning, the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, commenting on the information about the discussion of the return of nuclear weapons to Ukraine by individual American and European officials.

"China is deeply concerned about the nuclear risks caused by the conflict in Ukraine and has repeatedly stated that nuclear weapons should not be used and nuclear war should not start," said the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The diplomat also called on all parties to "maintain calm and restraint and jointly contribute to the de-escalation of the situation through dialogue and consultations aimed at reducing strategic risks."
