The European Parliament approved the new composition of the European Commission presented by Ursula von der Leyen, which was approved by the Council of the European Union in September. Voting in the European Parliament took place on Wednesday, November 27, with a ratio of 370 votes in favor and 282 against. The renewed European Commission will officially start work in December.
There are a total of 26 European Commissioners on the list, former Estonian Prime Minister Kaia Kalas will become the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, replacing Josep Borrell.
