US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East in a telephone conversation. This was announced by the White House after the negotiations.
"Today, President Biden and French President Macron discussed a number of global and bilateral issues. They discussed developments in Ukraine as well as in the Middle East, including efforts to reach a ceasefire in Lebanon that would allow residents on both sides of the Blue Line (the border between Lebanon and Israel to be located on it) on the color of UN peacekeepers' helmets) to return safely to their homes.
They have committed to continue close consultations directly and through their national security teams," the statement said.
