Orban had a phone conversation with Trump

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had a phone conversation with the newly elected US President Donald Trump on Friday, with whom he hopes to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

"In Budapest, I had a fruitful meeting with the Prime Minister of Romania, Marcel Ciolacu, and with President Donald Trump," Orbán wrote on his X page.

The Prime Minister of Hungary did not reveal the content of the conversation with Trump. The last time they spoke on the phone was on November 5, immediately after the victory of the Republican candidate in the US presidential elections.

Orbán openly supported Trump during his election campaign and expressed confidence that when he returns to the White House, he will achieve a cessation of hostilities in Ukraine.
