"Fact" daily writes:
It is accepted all over the world that sports, major tournaments are a good opportunity for any country's reputation, and it is natural that many countries spend serious money to achieve sports achievements.
Yesterday, the World Military Wrestling Championship started in Yerevan, which even before the start was in the center of scandalous attention, according to which it was related to the host country of the championship, Armenia.
The reason was the announcement and confusion of a number of wrestlers that although they had purposefully prepared for this tournament, they were informed literally days before its start that they would not represent Armenia.
Social networks and the press were flooded with publications, comments, and speculations about this. It got to the point that the Armenian Wrestling Federation, which was also the target of social network criticism, had to officially announce that they have nothing to do with the participating team of the Military Wrestling Championship starting in Yerevan.
They also emphasized that the Armenian Wrestling Federation (WAF) has nothing to do with the organization, holding and selection of the World Army Championship.
These issues are completely under the jurisdiction of the military structures of the given country.
And the "military structure" of the country, as is understood, is the Ministry of Defense.
Naturally, the question arises as to why the Ministry of Defense left out the wrestlers who are considered stronger and made the team Both athletes and coaches will do their best to be open-minded, but questions undoubtedly remain.
And not to the wrestlers, not to the national team, but to the organizers and those in charge: the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
The first and most important thing is the opinion on social networks that the Ministry of Defense of Armenia has done everything to ensure that the representatives of Turkey win as often as possible and the national anthem is played at the Sports Concert Complex named after Karen Demirchyan, not far from the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial.
And what else can be assumed, especially under the conditions of such authorities?
We hope, however, that the goals will not be reached and our team will show serious results.
