During the visit, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation, acting head of the main department of military-technical support, Major-General Farid Aliyev met with the first deputy chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major-General Mohammadreza Ashtiani.
At the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the current state of military cooperation between the two countries and prospects for development, and other issues of mutual interest were discussed. The sides also discussed issues of cooperation development between the military structures of Azerbaijan and Iran.
A protocol was signed, which contains articles on the areas of cooperation on which an agreement was reached.
