In Abkhazia, the representatives of the government and the opposition, with the mediation of the parliament, are starting negotiations on the exit from the internal political crisis.
As TASS reports, the negotiations will take place on the territory of the Ministry of Defense.
According to the source, Abkhazia's vice-president Badra Gunba, chairman of the State Customs Committee Otar Khetsia, head of the Committee for the Protection of Sovereignty Levan Mikaa, deputy Kan Kvarchia, people's movement and public figures are also participating in the negotiations.
The confrontation between the authorities and the opposition in Abkhazia started because of the investment agreement with the Russian Federation, which provides for the construction of apartments in Abkhazia.
Supporters of the opposition believe that its implementation will lead to an increase in housing prices, as well as risks for small and medium-sized businesses of the republic. Parliament was supposed to ratify the document on November 15, but postponed it due to the outbreak of protests.
Supporters of the opposition occupied the complex of government buildings in Sukhum, including the presidential residence, demanding the president's resignation.
President Aslan Bzhania evaluated the actions of the opposition as an attempt at a coup d'état and called on the population not to give in to provocations.
