The Hague court gave time to Azerbaijan and Armenia

The International Court of Justice has set a deadline for Armenia and Azerbaijan until November 12, 2025, to prepare documents in cases of racial discrimination.

We are talking about the documents in which the parties have to refute the arguments of the opposite side regarding the essence of the case.

On September 16, 2021, Armenia started legal proceedings against Azerbaijan at the International Court of Justice in accordance with the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. The lawsuit accuses Azerbaijan of actions against Armenians for decades, which escalated in 2020 during the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

On September 23 of the same year, Baku filed a counterclaim, claiming that Yerevan has discriminated in the region and continues to discriminate against Azerbaijanis because of their ethnic origin.
