The Public Chamber of Abkhazia called on the authorities and the opposition to resolve the issue through negotiations.
The application of the Chamber states that both sides are responsible for the fate of the Abkhazian state and people and should return to the right field.
"Given that in the near future, according to the constitution and laws of the republic, the date of the next presidential elections should be set, we consider it necessary to resume the normal work of state institutions and to establish a political dialogue," the statement says.
On November 15, the Abkhaz opposition occupied the complex of government buildings in Sukhum and demanded the resignation of the President of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, who, after meeting with negotiators, took time to think.
The opposition has also created a coordinating council to resolve the political crisis and negotiate with the republic's authorities.
