Large-scale NATO military exercises have ended

The first large-scale NATO multinational brigade exercise "Resolute Warrior" was completed in Latvia. 3,500 soldiers from 13 countries took part in the operation.

The Canadian-led NATO brigade now brings together forces from Albania, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. It is expected that the unit will reach full combat readiness in 2026.

At the NATO summit held in Madrid in 2022, the defense ministers of Canada and Latvia signed a joint declaration to strengthen the defense of NATO's eastern flank.

The past exercises were aimed at strengthening communication skills.

On the last day of the exercises, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte arrived in Latvia, he met with the President and Prime Minister of Latvia, and visited the Adazhi military base.
