Today, August 29, an emergency occurred in Yerevan. At around 8:30 p.m., a huge tree, dried up from the roots, fell in the area of Kindergarten No. 60 in Davtashen 3rd district due to strong winds. Fortunately, it landed on power lines and did not fall to the ground.
As reported byphotojournalist Gagik Shamshyanfrom the scene, according to preliminary information, fortunately, there were no injuries.
Employees of the Yerevan Municipality “Greening and Environmental Protection” NGO, also known as the Begoyan Armen Foundation, and employees of the Davtashen branch of the “Electric Networks of Armenia” company, also arrived.
1 combat unit from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Squad of the Rescue Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs is also on site.
At this time, the area has been demarcated and necessary work is being carried out to remove the fallen tree.
