A case of violence against a conscript took place in one of the military units in Syunik months ago, which, according to the information we received, also came to the attention of law enforcement agencies.
We were told that the unit's major Vahe Abrahamyan physically abused conscript Yura Matsakyan for shaving him improperly. In particular, the soldier, according to this information, did not shave his face, after which the major, in the presence of his fellow soldiers, shaved his face by scraping it with a towel.
The major caused the soldier physical and psychological suffering. The major was charged with the incident, and house arrest was chosen as a preventive measure against him.
