The Ararat Region Prosecutor's Office, within the framework of the authority to protect state (community) interests, has examined the documents on the allocation of land plots located in the Ararat village park area of Ararat region to 3 different persons with the right to develop. This is reported by the RA Prosecutor General's Office.
As a result of the study, among other things, it was found that the former head of the Ararat rural community allocated a 2,000 square meter plot of land located at 23/1 R. Vardanyan Street in the Ararat village park to an individual with the right to develop for a period of 99 years on August 6, 2009. Within the framework of the conducted study, it was found that the land plot was not used for its intended purpose by the developer.
The prosecutor has addressed a petition to the head of the Ararat community to take measures to terminate the development right signed between the Ararat village and the developer on August 6, 2009.
Based on the petition, as a result of the measures taken by the competent bodies of the Ararat Municipality, on August 26, 2026, the registered development right for a land plot located at 23/1 R. Vardanyan Street in the Ararat village with an area of 2,000 square meters and a cadastral value of 3 million 750 thousand drams, approximated to the market value, was terminated at the Cadastre Committee.
Let us recall that as a result of prosecutorial intervention, the Cadastre Committee suspended the registered development rights for plots of land measuring 14 square meters and 20 square meters, respectively, located at Haghtanak 44/1 and 44/2 in the Ararat village park area.
Thus, as a result of the prosecutor's intervention, the entire territory of the Ararat village park was returned to the Ararat community.
