The preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings on the destruction of the land in the coastal areas of the Pambak River has been completed. The RA Investigative Committee reports this.
"During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated by the Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, apparent factual data was obtained that K.N., from July-August 2022 to the spring of 2024, through truck drivers, carried out work on the coastal areas of the Pambak River without appropriate construction permits to change the land plots and land purpose, in particular, he filled the area with a soil fill of mixed composition and leveled it using agricultural machinery, as a result of which there was a degradation of land resources, damage to the fertile soil layer.
The state suffered damage in the amount of 2 million 319 thousand 668 AMD.
By decision of the supervising prosecutor, a public criminal prosecution was initiated against K.N. under Part 1 of Article 381 of the Criminal Code (land degradation).
During the preliminary investigation, a seizure was placed on K.N.'s property in the amount of the damage caused.
The criminal proceedings were sent with an indictment to the supervising prosecutor with a motion to approve and send it to the court for examination," the statement said.
