On August 16, starting at 4:33 p.m., the Shirak regional operational control center received alarms that due to wind and heavy rain, basements and yard areas of a number of addresses in Gyumri were flooded, tree branches were broken, and an electric pole was bent. The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs about this.
Combat units and operational groups from the fire-rescue squads of the Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs went to the scene. Responding promptly to all incidents, the rescuers carried out demarcation of areas, drainage of water from basements and yard areas with motor pumps (about 85 cubic meters in total), as well as dismemberment and removal of broken branches.
