Let's remind that on January 19, 2023, at around 01:30, 15 conscripts were killed and 7 servicemen were taken to the hospital as a result of a fire that broke out in the accommodation of the engineer sniper company of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense located in the territory of the Azat community of the Gegharkunik region.
During the session of June 12 of this year, the detention of Yeghishe Hakobyan, accused in the case, was extended for another three months.
Yeghishe Hakobyan was charged with the fact that, occupying the position of an officer of the engineering service of one of the military units of the RA Ministry of Defense, he violated the rule of handling gasoline and used it to light the stove used in the accommodation for the personnel of the engineering company of the military unit, as a result of which a fire broke out in the accommodation and 15 servicemen died.
