Fact daily writes:
The current authorities of Armenia once again prove that they are ready to put their own minute political interests above the economic stability of the state by declaring a direct economic war against one of the largest investors and businessmen of the country. A vivid expression of all this is the hastily submitted lawsuits by the Prosecutor's Office to the Anti-Corruption Court, demanding to confiscate the real estate of the "Golden Key" sanatorium belonging to the "Araratcement" company and to cancel the privatization and lease agreements related to Gagik Tsarukyan and the "Multi Group Concern".
The upper echelons of the government do not even hide that these processes are merely the economic component of political pursuits, because during the election campaign for the National Assembly, Nikol Pashinyan personally openly announced that the Ararat cement factory, which is Tsarukyan's business backbone, will soon be nationalized. Such open attacks on large capital not only destroy the investment environment, but also show the complete lack of state thinking when the head of state is willing to break the country's most important promise. one of the industrial pillars, ignoring its huge role in the country's economy.
The most ridiculous and at the same time shameful behavior displayed by the Ministry of Economy, when Gevorg Papoyan, the minister responsible for economic development and stability, rushes to notify the public about the revocation of the license of the "Shangri La" casino in a triumphant tone. Instead of being concerned about the dire social situation in the country, government officials openly take pleasure in inconveniencing businesses and attacking their economic assets. However, under this political delight is hidden a step against the state budget and ordinary citizens, because, according to press publications, as a result of that decision, more than 500 people will be directly deprived of their jobs and face unemployment, and the state budget will lose about 6 billion drams in tax revenues annually.
It turns out that the minister and the entire government are openly advertising and celebrating the fact of leaving hundreds of families insecure and reducing the state's financial resources, which should simply cause a sense of deep shame in any responsible government. This blinding policy of political revenge, which is conducted without assessing the long-term consequences, does not affect individual individuals, but the economic future of the Republic of Armenia, which is being sacrificed today for the narrow personal revenges of the ruling elite.
