In the modern world, countries that understand the importance of sovereignty are playing an increasingly important role, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"A more complex, multipolar architecture of global development is taking shape literally before our eyes.
Those states that truly understand and appreciate the importance of national sovereignty in the political, economic, cultural and social spheres play an increasingly important role in it," Putin said in a video message to the participants of the "Open Dialogue" forum.
