We asked how people in detention centers who have the right to vote will vote on June 7. It turned out that the CEC should visit the detention centers with a mobile ballot box, polling stations will be opened in the detention centers, in which RA citizens will be able to participate.
And how will nearly 1,000 citizens under house arrest vote, we asked the Ministry of Justice.
From the answer sent to us, it became clear that the issue has not been resolved. "A working discussion was held in the Ministry of Justice on the topic of proper organization of exercising the right to choose persons under house arrest. During the discussion, the participants referred to the existing procedures for the exercise of the electoral right, the existing problems and possible solutions in the case of persons under house arrest. As a result, the parties reached a cooperation agreement for the purpose of carrying out organizational work in coordination with relevant bodies and clarifying the necessary procedures."
According to the information we received, the relevant bodies are considering several options. on the day of the election, MIA employees accompany the persons under "house arrest" to the polling stations, or the mobile ballot box visits them. there is no final solution yet, they are tangled.
