Venezuela has chosen a development path and increased oil production to 1.1 million barrels per day, hundreds of companies have expressed interest in investing in the country's oil and gas industry. Delsey Rodríguez announced this in a televised address to the nation, summarizing his 100-day tenure as the envoy of the President of Venezuela.
"Today, the state oil and gas company, PDVSA, produces 1.1 million barrels per day. We have taken the first steps towards exporting gas and we hope this month to restore the level of oil production of December 2025, which was disrupted by the embargo against Venezuela," Rodriguez said.
He noted that with the adoption of the hydrocarbon and mining laws, the country is entering a new phase aimed at attracting investments, introducing production development technologies and creating jobs.
