Iran's authorities do not intend to transfer enriched uranium to Washington, despite US President Donald Trump's claims to the contrary, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Sayyed Khatibzadeh said in an interview with the Associated Press.RIA Novostithe
"I can assure you that no enriched material will be delivered to the United States. It is unacceptable, and I can assure you that while we are ready to consider any concerns that exist, we will not accept unacceptable options," the agency quoted Khatibzadeh as saying.
Iran's deputy foreign minister also noted that Tehran is not ready to conduct a new round of face-to-face negotiations with American officials. The Islamic Republic is seeking to finalize the "framework agreement" before proceeding to a face-to-face meeting.
"We are not yet ready for a real meeting, because there are issues on which the Americans have not yet given up their maximalist position," the diplomat added.
He also said that a new protocol will be introduced for the Strait of Hormuz as part of the negotiations with the USA, and it will remain open and safe for all civilian shipping.
