The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the EU threatened the Ambassador of Armenia Tigran Balayan at the event in Turkey. POLITICO:

Ambassador Tigran Balayan, head of the RA representation in the EU, announced that he received death threats from the ambassador of Azerbaijan to the EU. POLITICO reports.

According to the source, the Armenian Embassy has sent an official complaint to other diplomatic missions in Brussels about this incident. In a letter circulated among the envoys, cited by POLITICO, it is stated that Armenian Ambassador Tigran Balayan was subjected to verbal attacks and intimidation by Azerbaijani Ambassador Vagif Sadikov, who made obvious threats to Balayan.

The incident reportedly took place at a reception at the Tangla Hotel in Brussels organized by the Turkish Embassy in honor of the country's national holiday. The source writes: "This is believed to be the first Ankara-sponsored event to which the Armenian embassy has been invited since the 2020 war. However, speaking to POLITICO, Sadikov denied that an incident took place, stating, that such accusations are "ridiculous".

According to him, there was a good atmosphere at the reception: "Armenian diplomats can claim what they want", he said. The Armenian Embassy refused further comments. The Turkish embassy did not immediately respond to the inquiry about the incident."
