A short working week has begun in Russia

The four-day working week begins in Russia on November 5 in connection with the celebration of National Unity Day; it will last until November 8 inclusive.

On Monday, November 4, a day off was declared in honor of the celebration of National Unity Day. However, Russians still only had two days off from work, since November 2 was a working day due to the postponement of the holiday to April 30 this year.

National Unity Day is a public holiday celebrated annually in Russia on November 4th. It was established by the federal law “On Amendments to Article 1 of the Federal Law “On Days of Military Glory (Victory Days) of Russia” dated December 29, 2004 (after amendments on July 21, 2005, the law became known as “On Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates” Russia").
