"Zhoghovurd" daily published a number of facts months ago, which were related to the activities of the Department of e-commerce and air transport of the RA State Revenue Committee. It was about possible violations, which can have both public and criminal legal significance. In particular, "Zhoghovurd" reported that on October 9, 2025, on the instructions of the head of the department, Raphael Zakaryan, an instruction was given in the service "WhatsApp" group within the SRC about not painting the identifying (serial) numbers on the gold bars imported from Moscow to Yerevan.
According to the sources of the newspaper, in the period from October 9 to December 3, 2025, "Yerevan Jewelry Factory" LLC imported about 2 tons of gold bars to Armenia. However, the important data on these ingots, such as serial numbers, country of manufacture and weight, were not captured by photography. Instead, according to "Zhoghovurd" sources, photographs were taken of those parts of the ingots where these data were not visible. According to specialists in the field, this can cause problems in terms of gold origin, identification and customs control.
After the publication, "Zhoghovurd" daily sent official requests to the competent authorities to find out a number of important circumstances.
